The History of Philosophy by Leonard Peikoff

The History of Philosophy is a course that will allow you to get acquainted with the main philosophical ideas of different eras and understand how these ideas are related to the philosophy of Ayn Rand.

During the course, you will:

• Get acquainted with the teachings of the most influential philosophers and philosophical schools in history;
• Learn how they understood the central questions of human existence and how their ideas influenced and still influence society;
• Realize which philosophers’ ideas Ayn Rand considered harmful to humans and which, on the contrary, she adopted for her “philosophy of life on earth.”

The course is designed for two weeks and consists of lectures by Leonard Peikoff, an Objectivist philosopher and heir of Ayn Rand.
